Holos Terms of Service
Welcome to Holos.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Holos platform, applications, websites, services and related features (collectively, "Holos").
Holos is currently operated by House of IX, LLC d/b/a Origami, an Arizona limited liability company ("Origami," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using Holos, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Agreements.
About Holos
Holos is a community platform designed to support connection, collaboration and collective action.
Holos provides tools that may allow people and organizations to connect, communicate, create profiles, participate in communities and groups, share content, discover projects and events, take part in courses, and collaborate with others.
Holos will continue to evolve, and features may be added, changed or removed over time.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account or use Holos.
By creating an account or using Holos, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your account credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and should notify us at Holos@holomovement.net if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You may not impersonate another person or organization or intentionally misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
You may delete your account directly within the Holos app at any time. What happens to your content when you do is described in our Privacy Policy.
Community Participation
Holos is built around community participation.
By using Holos, you agree to follow the Holos Community Agreements and to interact with other members respectfully and in good faith.
We may take reasonable action when behavior or content violates these Terms or the Community Agreements or threatens the safety, integrity or functioning of Holos.
Your Content
You retain ownership of original content you create and share through Holos.
By posting or uploading content to Holos, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide and improve Holos.
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to content you share and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.
When you delete content or your account, some copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is reasonably necessary for security, legal or operational purposes. Certain contributions to shared spaces remain after account deletion with your name removed, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Holos to:
- Harass, threaten, bully or abuse others
- Promote hatred or violence against individuals or groups
- Share unlawful or intentionally harmful content
- Violate another person's privacy or intellectual property rights

Additional expectations for participation are described in the Holos Community Agreements.
Organizations, Groups and Community Spaces
Holos may allow members or organizations to create or participate in groups, projects, events or other community spaces.
The views and activities of individual members, groups and participating organizations do not necessarily represent the views of Holos, Origami or the Holomovement.
Participation in Holos does not authorize a person or organization to represent themselves as an official representative of Holos or the Holomovement.
Member Visibility
When you create a profile, your profile information is shown to other signed-in members through the member directory, the community globe, the connection map and related features. Some profile information is also shown publicly on our marketing website, outside the members' area. You can turn public visibility off in your account settings. Holons and events you create have their own visibility setting that you control.
Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what is visible to members, what is visible publicly, and how to change it.
You acknowledge that other members and, where your profile is publicly visible, other people may view, copy or remember information you make visible. Origami is not responsible for how other people use information you choose to share.
Paid Features and Contributions
Some parts of Holos, such as certain courses, may be offered for a fee, on a pay-what-you-want basis, or by voluntary contribution.
Payments are processed by our payment processors. Prices, access terms and any refund conditions are shown at the point of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase, purchases are final. If a paid feature is discontinued, we will make a reasonable effort to give you continued access or an appropriate remedy.
Live Video Spaces
Holos includes live audio and video spaces. Sessions are not recorded by us.
Other participants can see and hear you while you are in a space, and can read what you write in its chat. Please treat those spaces with the same care the Community Agreements ask for everywhere else.
AI Features
Holos uses AI to help build your profile, to suggest connections, and to answer questions in the in-app help chat.
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. It is offered as assistance, not as a statement of fact, and it is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing anything AI generates for your profile before relying on it.
The in-app help chat has no access to your account and cannot make changes to it. For anything account-related, contact us at Holos@holomovement.net.
Our Privacy Policy describes what is sent to our AI providers and what we store.
The Holomovement
Holos is designed in part to support the community and collaborative activity associated with the Holomovement.
The Holomovement is a global social movement and is not itself a separate legal entity operating Holos.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of or authorization to establish legal entities, commercial ventures or official initiatives using the Holomovement name, logo or other protected branding.
Participation in Holos also does not create an employment, partnership, agency, joint venture or other legal relationship between you and Holos, Origami or the Holomovement.
Intellectual Property
Except for content owned by individual users or third parties, the software, design, functionality, trademarks, logos and other proprietary materials associated with Holos are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use Holos for its intended purposes but may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit protected Holos materials without authorization.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to determine or alter the broader stewardship or ownership of the Holomovement itself.
Third-Party Services and Links
Holos may integrate with or link to third-party websites, applications, services or resources.
We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, practices, availability or privacy policies.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and policies.
Moderation, Suspension and Termination
We want Holos to remain a constructive and welcoming community.
Authorized Holos administrators and community stewards may moderate or remove content, or restrict, suspend or terminate accounts, when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:
- Enforce these Terms or the Community Agreements
- Protect members or other people
- Protect Holos or its systems
- Prevent fraud, abuse or unlawful activity
- Comply with applicable law
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we may attempt to resolve community concerns before restricting an account, but we reserve the ability to act immediately when circumstances warrant it.
You may stop using Holos or delete your account at any time.
Platform Availability
We work to keep Holos available and functioning, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
Features may change, become unavailable or be discontinued. Holos may also experience maintenance, outages, technical problems or circumstances outside our control.
No Professional Advice
Content shared through Holos by members, organizations, speakers, contributors or other participants is provided for community and informational purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Holos does not provide medical, legal, financial, therapeutic or other licensed professional advice.
You are responsible for evaluating information and determining whether professional guidance is appropriate for your circumstances.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, Holos is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that Holos will always be available, secure, error-free or suitable for every purpose, or that content provided by members or third parties will be accurate or reliable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, House of IX, LLC d/b/a Origami and those acting on its behalf in operating Holos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Holos.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses or expenses arising from your unlawful use of Holos, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that infringes the rights of another person.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes concerning these Terms will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any dispute-resolution procedures subsequently adopted and communicated by Holos.
Changes to These Terms
Holos will continue to evolve, and we may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through Holos or another appropriate communication method.
Your continued use of Holos after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
Changes in Platform Operation or Stewardship
The entity responsible for operating Holos may change as the platform develops.
If responsibility for operating Holos is transferred to another legal entity, these Terms and associated responsibilities may be assigned or transferred as part of that transition, subject to applicable law.
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting users.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Holos Privacy Policy and Community Agreements, constitute the agreements governing your use of Holos unless additional terms are presented for a particular service or feature.
